CriticalWP is a managed WordPress platform operated by Martin Van Den Boogerd, based in Austin, Texas, USA. This Privacy Policy applies to all data collected through criticalwp.com and any services provided by CriticalWP.

2. Data We Collect
We collect data in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you use our site.
Information you provide
- Contact and signup forms — name, email address, phone number, business name, website URL, and any details you include in your message. Submitted via Formspark and delivered to CriticalWP by email.
- Service communications — emails, messages, or support requests you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data — page views, session duration, traffic source, device type, and browser information collected via Google Tag Manager and associated Google Analytics tools.
- Cookies — session and preference cookies set by Google Tag Manager and Cloudflare. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by CriticalWP directly.
- IP addresses and request data — collected by Cloudflare as part of infrastructure delivery, DDoS protection, and security operations.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to inquiries and service requests
- To set up and manage your CriticalWP account and platform environment
- To send service-related communications (account setup, billing, updates)
- To understand how our site is used and improve it
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
CriticalWP uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

- Cloudflare — provides CDN, DDoS protection, and SSL. All traffic passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
We do not control the data practices of these providers. We select providers that meet reasonable data protection standards.
5. Data Retention
- Form submissions — retained for as long as necessary to manage your inquiry or account relationship, then deleted.
- Client account data — retained during the active subscription period and for 30 days following cancellation or termination, after which it is permanently deleted per our Terms of Service.
- Analytics data — retained per Google Analytics default retention settings (up to 26 months).
- Cloudflare logs — retained per Cloudflare's standard log retention policies.
6. Cookies
Our site uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Analytics — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics set cookies to track aggregate site usage. These are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Security and performance — Cloudflare sets cookies necessary for DDoS protection, bot detection, and load balancing.
You may disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site. Disabling Cloudflare security cookies may affect site performance or access.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Portability — request your data in a portable format where technically feasible
- Objection — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

8. California Residents (CCPA)

CriticalWP services are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS/SSL encryption on all pages via Cloudflare
- Cloudflare Enterprise DDoS protection and WAF
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
11. International Transfers
CriticalWP is based in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
